Mr. Addoor Krishna Rao is a son of an agriculturalist and concerned about the plight of farmers in rural area. He graduated from the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore in 1977 and joined Corporation Bank as an Agricultural Field Officer. He served in the Apex Training College of the Bank for a decade as a specialist faculty in rural finance and human resource management. He has done his M.B.A. degree from Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi.

As the secretary of Farm Experience Club, Mangalore, Mr. Addoor played a leading role for two decades in disseminating vital information to the farming community. The club has been publishing a newsletter on farm-related matters. He has been campaigning for consumer rights.

Mr. Addoor is the author of many books and contributed articles regularly to various newspapers and journals.
