Developing Countries Farm Radio Network's information package ---An exchange of practical information about farming and health.

George Atkins founded the Network in 1979. This is one of the most useful information sources on agriculture. DCFRN is based in Toronto, CANADA. The information is provided in the simplest form and can be practiced very easily. The topics covered include organic farming, agro forestry, health and nutrition, soil and water conservation etc. It also publishes VOICES, a newsletter for participating members. Scripts are available free of charge to Farm Radio Network members, along with a newsletter with resources for additional information, how to use the scripts, etc. They are distributed in print format in English, French and Spanish. Membership in the Network is free to anyone broadcasting to rural audiences in Africa, Asia or Latin America.

DCFRN says: "The opportunities for radio are growing. Air waves are being democratized, and independent radio stations are springing up. The community radio movement is growing. Come with us. Participatory radio is where we're going."
