  • CAAM completes five years

    CAAM observed its fifth anniversary meaningfully at ‘Grama Chethana’, Surashettikoppa on December 18, 2005 by giving away state level farm journalism awards and organizing ‘Farm Book Fest’. Kannada Book Authority Chairman Prof. S.G. Siddaramiah who was the chief guest gave away the awards.

  • CAAM fourth anniversary held

    CAAM formally entered into fifth year of its activities on December 26, 2004 at Sriranga in Sullia, Dakshina Kannada, Karnataka. The programme included presentation of two farm journalism awards, a special prize for constructive work in soil and water conservation and six diploma degrees. 'Shree' Padre's book 'Neera samasyege illive parihara' was also released on the occasion.

  • CAAM third anniversary held

    The Centre for Alternative Agricultural Media celebrated its third anniversary on November 30, 2003 at Sriranga of Sullia Taluk in Karnataka, India. CAAM annual awards for the best farm writings in Kannada and a special award to Vidyabodhini High School, Balila were presented on the occasion. Centre's novel initiative in farmer-friendly communication - a correspondence diploma course in farm journalism was also launched

  • CAAM initiates 'Media for sustainable development'

    CAAM organised an innovative event 'Harogerige Hogona Banni' (Come, let us visit Harogeri) on July 17, 2003 in the hillocks of Harogeri, a village in Dharwad district of Karnataka. This was the first function under the programme 'Media for Sustainable Development', which has been initiated to establish a link between development and media. Harogeri gudda (hillock of Harogeri) facilitated a unique interaction session between its people and media.

  • CAAM's second anniversary held

    CAAM gave away its annual state level farm journalism awards on the occasion of its second anniversary. The event was held in Mr. S.R. Halappa's organic farm in Sanenahalli near Hassan, Karnataka on November 24, 2002. Parisara Priya Krishikara Sanghatane (Eco-friendly farmers' forum) in Hassan organised the event, which was attended by a large spectrum of audiences, the number exceeding 300.

  • CAAM first anniversary held

    CAAM celebrated it's first anniversary with a two-day 'farm journalism workshop' at Hulakoti near Gadag in Karnataka on December 1-2, 2001.

  • CAAM Inauguration: Pro-farmer media efforts stressed

    The need for various communication efforts, which were need-based, pro-farmer, and involving farmers' participation was stressed in the inaugural function of the Centre for Alternative Agricultural Media, held in Dharwad, Karnataka State on Sunday, December 3, 2000.
