Adike Pathrike, pioneering farm journal in Kannada crafted and produced by practicing farmers has put a step forward in its eighteenth year of publication. Celebrated development journalist in Kannada - ‘Shree’ Padre, who has taken over as the Executive Editor of the magazine said, “Keeping in mind the present needs of farming community and to keep pace with the new-day media, we are bringing in many changes to Adike Pathrike. As a journal shaped by farmers, we know the pulse of the farming community better. While strengthening the present content new columns have also been introduced.”

“We give importance to experience of farmers. We also stress that the articles published in the magazine should be in accordance with farmers’ needs. The journal wants to develop an intimate relation with its readers,” he added.

Along with information on different crops and the farming systems, Pathrike also wishes to focus on the learnings of farmers, indigenous knowledge, applicable lessons from their failures and the secrets of their success. Since the man who initiated pen to farmer’s hand is on the driver’s seat, many more can be expected of Adike Patrike.
